Palmerston City Interfaith Network (PCIN)
Palmerston City Interfaith Network (PCIN) funded by the Commonwealth Department of Immigration and Citizenship Affairs.
This activity aims to establish an advocacy body of representatives of local multicultural and faith organisations to promote interfaith dialogue and understanding through:
- Addressing issues of racism in the community, and/or
- Promoting community harmony between people and groups from different cultural, racial, religious or social backgrounds in the community.
The activity seeks to do this through workshops, an interactive website, a media campaign profiling different faiths, developing a common mission statement for faith communities in the Palmerston area, producing religious diversity postcards, establishing regular interfaith meetings, developing a Harmony Kit.
