Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP)

The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) at Charles Darwin University (CDU) has been conducting a community English class on the premises of MCNT office in Malak. This class specifically targets young mothers who would like to learn English but do not want their non school-age children to be placed in childcare. It may also be an option for those newly-arrived migrant women who feel uncomfortable in a formal learning situation. Women are allowed to bring their children to class and a carer if provided. The classes are small and informal and offer great personalised tuition. Ms Mandy Docksey is the teacher.
