Migration Advice Clinic

For a number of years the MCNT has offered a migration advice service for the community.  Funding for this service is provided by OMA.  The clinics are on every third Monday evening by appointment at MCNT, Malak, from 6.00 pm to 8.00pm.

This is a very popular service and you will need to book in advance.  There is no charge, even if you use it more than once.  This service is for economically disadvantaged people (up to $35,000 per year) who cannot afford to pay for the services of a private migration agent.

We enlist the services of registered migration agents who have are volunteers and have to comply with the Migration Agents Code of Conduct.  We can book an interpreter if required.  This is a completely confidential and independent service.  You can see a female migration agent if required.

How we can help: we offer advice on Immigration Department decisions and requests for further information; preparing documentation for visa applications; explanation of visa timeframes and the application process.  The service is for Humanitarian (Refugee) and Family visas only; not for other visa categories, for representation at interviews or for legal matters or for financial assistance.
