Front Counter
The MCNT is a ‘one stop shop’ for refugees and migrants in Darwin and the surrounding areas. Operating from its office in Malak, the MCNT welcomes all individuals, families and communities from multicultural backgrounds. The MCNT can provide assistance with various queries including liaising with government organisations, filling out forms, employment advice, referrals to other service providers, and advice on grants. Please contact the MCNT to find out more.

Migration Advice
The MCNT’s long running migration advice service is provided in partnership with the Migration Institute of Australia. Migration Advice is open to everyone, and is held on the first Wednesday of every month from 6-8pm and volunteer registered migration agents provide free advice sessions.

Information, Workshops and Events
The MCNT holds a range of events, workshops and information sessions for refugee and migrant communities throughout the year. These include community consultations, service provider information sessions, tax help sessions and advice, courses, and family events.
Follow Multicultural Council of the NT on Facebook to stay up to date with what’s on and subscribe to our e-newsletter. We can arrange interpreters for our courses and information sessions so please let us know in advance if you require one.
Happy Families
In partnership with CatholicCare NT, the MCNT runs a monthly social dinner for newly arrived families and individuals in the Darwin and Palmerston regions. Held at Catholic Care’s Malak Family Centre, our free dinner is a great way to connect with your community and keep the kids entertained with toys and games. Happy Families is held on the last Friday evening of each month and everyone is welcome! Please check our Facebook page
